Calathea Sanderiana | Pinstripe Plant

This one’s pure elegance. The Pinstripe Plant has deep green, almost velvety leaves, delicately painted with fine pink lines that look like they’ve been hand-drawn — hence the name! It’s a bit of a diva like its Calathea cousins, but if you can keep it happy, it’ll reward you with lush, vibrant foliage that looks like it belongs in a botanical palace.

Origin: Native to the tropical rainforests of Colombia

Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Too much sun and those lovely pink stripes can fade. It can handle lower light but might grow more slowly.

Water: Likes its soil to stay evenly moist — not soggy, not dry. Loves humidity, so it’s a great choice for a bathroom or anywhere you can mist regularly. It’s sensitive to hard tap water, so filtered or rainwater is best if you can manage it.

Good News: Totally pet-safe! So no worries if your furry friends like to get involved in your plant parenting.
